We will be managing the PSI Lunchtime Calendar via Volunteer Spot. This will require you to create a Volunteer Spot account (pls see below for sign-up instructions).
If you have any problems using Volunteer Spot, please email Julie Yakes or Angela Berntsen to schedule time in the lunchroom or playground.
How can you help financially support PSI without writing a check? How can you help keep precious money in your child's classroom? How can you see your kids during the school day, meet other parents and have fun? Become a Lunchtime Volunteer!
LUNCHTIME VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES:
****PLEASE SIGN IN AT THE MAIN OFFICE BEFORE REPORTING TO ANY OF THESE POSTS****
Playground, 10:40-11:50 a.m.
- Assist the 2 staff members and 1 Amity Intern on the playground by helping enforce the rules of the playground.
First Floor Hall, 10:45-11:35 a.m. (November - March only)
- Help students returning from the playground remove boots, snow pants, etc; guide them to the stairwell that leads to the cafeteria.
Basement Hall, 10:50-12:00 p.m.
- Ensure students wash hands before going to the lunchroom and walk at all times in the halls.
Lunchroom, 11:00-12:00 p.m.
- Assist the staff members including 1 Amity Intern in making the lunch hour run smoothly by helping students with their lunch needs (condiments, utensils, opening packages, etc.)

Sibling Policy:
Younger children are welcome if they can sit independently and quietly while you are assisting students. Please contact us for other volunteer opportunities if your child’s siblings are too young for you to help in the lunchroom.
If you are picking up a Kindergarten-age student from class and want to volunteer, we encourage you to bring a lunch for your child and explain to her/him that you are there to do a job and that you will be assisting with all children who need help. It may not be possible for your child to sit with an older sibling due to limited space at the tables.
Parents are welcome to come and eat lunch with their child, however, please schedule a lunch date with your child on a day separate from volunteering.

Visit www.volunteerspot.com to register/sign-up.
If you already have an account, login and click on 'My Invitations'. Click on PSI Lunchroom Calendar. Click on the day and sign-up.
If you do not have an account, go to www.volunteerspot.com/login/entry/21-62294952868 to register. After registering, you will receive an activation link via email. (Bookmark or save this link to your favorites - this is the most efficient way to access the lunchroom volunteer calendar.) Follow the steps above.
